I'm sure Ms Cynthia Jeanne Bowers is a very nice woman, and I'm sure we could be friends. Her married named is Jeanne Shaheen. She's a US senator, representing New Hampshire. She's a Democrat. Senator Jeanne Shaheen is the ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. I've never met her, and we have never spoken [I do have a request to interview her, however; so far I have yet to get a response]. Perhaps I will indeed at some point do an interview with her.

Shaheen undoubtedly understands that I make US foreign policy – that is, my input and influence is much greater than anyone else in Washington. Put bluntly, I do make policy, but as I have argued repeatedly in the past several years – particularly since I have relaunched my media business – policy-making in a Republic is pretty freaky and difficult. That's to put it mildly. Making policy in the United States of America is – and the public does not understand this – mostly an issue of intellect and knowledge and expertise.

It's not an issue of the public office you might hold. It's not an issue of being a nice person, and being sympathetic to the poor and oppressed in the world. My friend Henry Kissinger (1923-2023) thought of himself as the preeminent foreign policy strategist. I am not saying he was not, he was very good, perhaps even excellent. He was an Ashkenazi Jew, of course. From Germany, not from the Pale of Settlement. Kissinger was impressively knowledgeable, about a lot of things. I would not say he was a polymath, but close to it. His IQ was high.

I mention Kissinger because this business I am in – policy-making – is not merely about having knowledge. It is, but what is more important is having the power and influence to get other men – and it is always other men – to get into a frame of mind where they realize you are right. So they go along. They respect your opinion, and they come to realize you are right.

Wall Street wants to keep going up. Even though the ignorant Donald Trump insists on his lunatic obsession with tariffs. We will see Trump do the TACO routine, obviously. Trump is [probably] taking a mild psychotropic medication. He is a pretty weird man, he's basically an idiot savant. I'm quite serious. I am certain that his first wife, Ivana (1949-2022), would agree with me. She was largely responsible for building the Trump real estate business. Even Trump himself has admitted this. Trump's father's hundreds of millions of dollars along with Ivana's pretty impressive IQ and serious work ethic – with Donald Trump's idiot savantism. So this is how Donald Trump has gotten to the point where he is “commanding” the United States of America.

Trump thinks he makes policy. Not really. Trump thinks he is the big deal. Not really. I know it is funny. Trump is certainly going to crash and burn, but I do admit that he is pretty cunning. Trump and I go back 17 years. He came to me in late 2007 [unsolicited] when he sent me his just published book titled Think Big and Kick Ass: In Business and Life. It was pretty good, I admit. I did a review of all his books, I think there were at the time about 7 or so. Ms Rhona Graff, his assistant, sent me review copies of all of them. Trump and I did an interview, it was pretty impressive. He was too scared to do a telephone interview [recorded] which is my habit.

I am not mocking Trump here; I did not vote for him, either time. Even though my friend Richard Fuisz urged me over and over again [the second time, when Trump ran against Joseph Biden] to support Trump. I refused, and Fuisz and I no longer talk to each other. Fuisz told me that if I did not publicly support Trump then Trump would lose. Sure enough, Fuisz was right and Trump lost. Hilarious. Fuisz was so angry at me that he now refuses to talk to me, but there are other reasons Fuisz got angry at me.

My argument: I have persuaded Pete Hegseth and Elbridge Colby that they ought to follow my advice. We need an entente with Russia and China. Hegseth is of course secretary of defense and Colby is under secretary of defense. Both men recently determined that there should be no weapons and military aid going to Ukraine. And why they do this? Because I wrote a letter to Pete Hegseth several weeks ago. It was probably about 2-3 weeks ago. I don't know Hegseth, we have not spoken. I do have a feeling however that he's on board with me – so we will be friends. As far as Colby is concerned, I knew his grandfather, William Egan Colby (1920-1996). I had sent Elbridge several emails [during the campaign] when it was revealed that he might get a top Pentagon job.

I assess both Hegseth and Colby to be really smart. Now that they have done this – cut off Ukraine – I am super impressed. The entente is coming into view.

Senator Shaheen is upset [World Affairs Monthly has been on the mailng list of the Senate Foreign Relations Committe for at least 17 years]. She wants war, she represents not New Hampshire, but the military industrial complex. Shaheen is an ignorant lady, she has no idea what she is talking about. Maybe she's a nice woman, but she is clueless. Women in politics is usually pretty silly. It can be amusing, certainly, but it is still a joke, pretty much a joke.

Sure, the war party is still going. And that is the Democratic Party. Trump has retreated in rhetoric somewhat from the war party – that is how he got elected. But Trump is still advocating war. He's an idiot – an idiot savant.

Wanting war in Ukraine – waging a proxy war against Russia – is still a major currency in Washington. We are talking the big Pentagon “contractors”: these behemoths and their Wall Street valuations is what drives the silly senators like Mrs Shaheen. In the United States Senate.

But it is coming to an end, the American war strategy. Intervening in the Eastern Hemisphere with war. It is over. Hegseth and Colby are cool guys. The Pentagon top brass is clearly agreeing that I am right. Both civilian and uniformed. So it is all over. I know, it's funny.

By the way, I will soon publish an article about the reasons for this entente, and why the war party is still going pretty strong. My friend Daryl Kimball agrees with me, however. Cutting the Pentagon budget by 50% is going to happen. Ms Bowers is not working for anyone in America, she is working for the Military Industrial Complex (MIC).
